There are a number of things about these books that bother me. They're formulaic, it's easy to figure out the "mystery" almost immediately, I find myself skimming some of the sex scenes (which is kind of unusual for me) and I hate heroine's who "giggle". But, there's something sort of crack-like about the series, too, so I keep reading.
