I enjoyed this. It was actually a sort of plausible story line with real people in real situations. I liked that the kid was troubled, created trouble and wasn't just there to be cute whenever it served the plot. The hero had the patience of a saint.
I'd seen this author's books in book searches a few times and had her confused with another author whose work I did not enjoy. Looking back, I'd read a short by Molly O'Keefe in the Summer Rain anthology and enjoyed it enough that I'd meant to look up her back list. Anyway, I liked it enough to pick up the second in the Boys of Bishop series.
