As expected, because I've read most of Shannon Stacey's book, I enjoyed this. I noticed some continuity problems. For example, in one scene, Lydia's sitting on the couch and a couple of sentences later, she sits down on the edge of her bed without having moved between rooms. Later, she puts her sneakers on twice in the same scene. Minor things, but I noticed.
I liked Lydia as a heroine. She was a little bit grumpy and totally likely to call everyone on their bullshit. Aidan was a nice hero. He was easygoing and completely reasonable and understanding of Lydia's reasons for being anti-firefighter.
I will read the next in the series.
